Getting ready for the new semester/term with SOC
- Complete upload of new users (only applies to campuses without SIS integration) and/or send SOC invitations (based on license & preferences)
- Review SOC marketing suggestions, create your own marketing calendar, and check out the SOC marketing toolkit
NOTE: if your campus has SSO (Single Sign On) please make sure to share direct SSO link with students and update template materials with your campus-specific SSO link
- Share information about SOC with students during orientation
- Reach out to faculty and staff who can be advocates for SOC, including:
- Advisors
- Student affairs professionals
- Department chairs
- Faculty
- Residence life
- Student leaders/organizations
- Personalize SOC student search tips for your campus and include in SOC student launch email
- Send all-student email about SOC including student guide and video
- Add SOC logo and link to publications and websites
- Review additional resources, templates and tools available in the SOC launch toolkit
- Update pathways and projects (as applicable, based on license)
- Update communities (as applicable, based on license)
- Update user settings (as applicable, based on license)
- Review getting started with SOC--are there any other items you need to refresh or revisit?
- Set up check-in meetings with your SOC contact
