Is SOC Honors/Undergraduate Research different than the Institution-wide platform?

No.

SOC for Honors and Undergraduate Research is just a limited version of the platform. The platform that allows for institution-wide scaling of experiential learning has additional features that may or may not be available to users in Honors and Undergraduate Research.
